I only spent a short time living in New York City but I can tell you one eatery that I distinctly remember seeing everywhere – and that’s Xi’an Famous Foods. Truly a New York staple, the Chinese noodle shop serves up all sorts of spicy and delicious fare.

And now, according to a report in The Restaurant Hub, it looks like the chain is planning to open in Boston “within five years.”

The Restaurant Hub sites a DNAinfo New York article that quotes Xi’an Famous Foods Restaurant CEO, Jason Wang. The article reports that “his short term goal is have a dozen locations in New York City, and outposts in Boston and Washington, D.C., within five years.”

The Hub will soon join the existing cult following of Xi’an Famous Foods (hopefully). And we can expect plenty of chewy and mouthwatering spicy noodles soon.
