Today Newton-based EveryScape, the company with technology that brings realistic, three-dimensional experiences both inside venues and outdoors to life online, announced a big partnership with AT&T Interactive.

EveryScape’s technology will now be on display at AT&T Interactive’s YP.com (Yellow Pages online) delivering immersive advertising experiences, and being dubbed as part of AT&T’s advertising solutions as YP360. YP360 will allow visitors to YP.com to find answers to questions that traditional text and images cannot provide – most importantly, whether the experience (and business) is worth their time.

“At EveryScape, we realize that discovery plays an important role in creating a positive local search experience for searchers. We are thrilled to help YP.com users connect online with local businesses in a personal and interactive way that helps drive real-world purchases,” said EveryScape CEO, Jim Schoonmaker.

According to the company, 87 percent of people have a positive affinity for a given business they explore via EveryScape, with 70 percent of those people noting they were more likely or much more likely to visit that business as a result.

This AT&T partnership follows EveryScape’s December partnership announcement with Bing, and is part of the company’s focus on taking its technology to leading portals. According to language in the press release, EveryScape’s strategy is to enable ‘immersive search through a distribution network of leading portals.’

With a tagline, “the real world online,” EveryScape was founded in 2002 by Mok Oh, who recently joined WHERE as Chief Innovation Officer. Its patented technology transforms two dimensional, still photos of local businesses and buildings into three dimensional experiences. This allows you to virtually explore a venue, area or attraction as if you were literally there in person. As compared to other virtual tours, EveryScape’s solution is unique in providing a true walk-through experience as opposed to typical tours which offer more limited views. EveryScape has released iPhone apps that focus on the technology’s implementation in restaurants in particular cities, and these can also be viewed on any browser online at EveryScape Eats!.
