Tomorrow is the day when tens of  thousands of music lovers from all walks of life will descend on the tiny town of Dover Delaware to experience three days of pure festival awesomeness. The annual Firefly Music Festival has the reputation of drawing the same big names as larger festivals like Bonnaroo and Coachella, but with a smaller and more relaxed overall vibe. With over 75 artists covering practically every genre, obviously the music is the biggest draw. But summer festivals aren’t just about beats, they’re about the lifestyle. The Firefly community has gone above and beyond this year in bringing in vendors and planning activities to make the weekend more than just a concert, but rather an experience everyone will be talking about all summer long. Here’s a breakdown of some of the things you should be looking forward to.

1. The Forest Cinema: Out in the woods where you can see the fireflies the festival is named for, the new Forest Cinema experience seeks to give you an intimate slice of peace away from the pumped up crowds. Silent black and white films will be projected between the trees serving as a perfect visual backdrop after the sun sets.

2. Hammock Hangouts: A perennial favorite of Firefly, the 2013 festival has doubled the amount of hammocks available. Located in two locations in the woods off the beaten tracks, the hangout spots are a great place to find some shade to take a quick nap with your festival boo.

3. The Pathway Light Show: It’s the sights and sounds that turn a festival from just a concert to an experience. This path through the forest will become its very own playground at night, with a neon light show that will put any childhood Christmas spectacular memories you may have to shame.

4. The Dogfish Brewery: If the promise of cushy chairs and air conditioning aren’t enough to pull you away from the Main Stage, Dogfish Head’s specialty “Firefly Ale” certainly will. Craft beer fans will love this pale ale with English Marris Otter barley and American Calypso hops which as a refreshingly finish. Not to mention it’s a brew you simply can’t find anywhere else.

5. The Arcade: Probably the aspect of the festival that I find the most unique is the onsite arcade. Just like you would find at any boardwalk, the arcade offers booze and games, from skeeball to foosball to table hockey. Great way to give your ears a break from the speakers and spend some quality bonding time with your new friends.

6. Balloon Rides: This year there will be multiple hot air ballons available to take a quick ten minute ride in for $25. VIP and artists can try it out for free. Totally worth it to get a birds eye view of the entire space, and snap some sweet pictures of the stage from above the tree line.
