2015 is just around the corner, meaning New Year’s Eve planning must begin. With all the hustle and bustle that is bound to happen, you won’t want to be caught without a New Year’s Eve event to attend. There are wide variety of parties happening in the District guaranteeing a fun, memorable night. So take a look at these New Year’s Eve events we think you should consider:

  1. The Art Soiree is hosting their annual PUTTIN’ ON THE RITZ at the Ritz-Carlton Hotel in Georgetown. Sip champagne and listen to music while surrounded by local art work. There will be live performances, a live viewing of the New Year Eve’s ball drop and an open bar. All are able to attend this festivity.

  2. The Salsa Room is having a dance party. Dance into the New Year and show off you salsa and merengue. The Lounge also offers salsa dance courses and Mexican food for a night of Latin culture.

  3. If you’d rather spend the night wining and dining, the Italian restaurant, La Perla of Washington, is having an extravagant New Year’s menu featuring quail, duck, and many pastries. They will be having their midnight champagne toast and will be opened until 1 a.m.

  4. The Brixton Pub promises a night full of spectacle and fun with their four floors of foods, drinks, and ELECTROCUTE performers. There will be a contortionist, hoopers and dancers throughout the night.

  5. LX Group is holding their 10th annual NYE Masquerade Ball in the Howard Theatre. This will be a night of anonymous fun with party favors, DJs, and professional dancers. First 200 hundred tickets receive a free mask and tickets sell out quickly.

  6. Big Night DC is hosting a New Year’s Gala at the Gaylord National Hotel and Resort. There will 15 themed party floors and a huge lineup of bands and DJs available. Party until 2:30 a.m. in the Retro Ballroom (best of 70’s, 80’s and 90’s dance tunes), DC’s Largest Dance Ballroom (the hottest dance music), Acoustic Lounge, or even Silent Disco Floor. And once you’re tired, check into your hotel room.

  7. From the people that brought you Halloween at Carnegie Library, Mason Inn will be hosting again on New Year’s Eve. This black tie event will last until 1:00 a.m. with after parties continuing until 4:00 a.m. There will be DJs and live bands, including the Morrison Brothers Band.
