I found this on The Wall Street Journal site and wanted to get feedback to hear your opinions. Take a look and let me know what you think. I think there are some interesting conversations to be had about paid vs. unpaid internships across all sectors. Ultimately I hope that employers become more responsible with their internship programs, truly offering training and real-world work experience for candidates. It would be a sad turn of events for employers to dismantle internship programs all together, especially given that 60% of employers think that students aren’t properly prepared to enter the workforce when they graduate college. In fact, 90% of employers prefer to hire a candidate with at least one or two internship experiences in a given field. How about that as a bit of food for thought?
