As DC Beer Week winds down, another weeklong event is about to take the District by storm. Two times every year, Washingtonians get the chance to wine and dine at fancy restaurants that normally cost an arm and a leg. Over 200 of DC’s finest restaurants are offering three-course lunches and dinners at lowered costs.

Lunch costs $20.13. Dinner costs $35.13.

DC Restaurant Week kicks off today and runs through Sunday, August 25th. In order to maximize the fun-filled dining that is Restaurant Week, here are a few tips:

Make reservations early. Some of the fanciest, most sought after restaurants like Fogo de Chao fill up very quickly. Use the opentable website in order to reserve a seat for you and friends.

Read the Restaurant Week menu before you choose which restaurant to go to. Some of the participating restaurants already have weekly deals or coupons online, so the Restaurant Week “Deal” doesn’t end up being much of a deal at all.

Sometimes calling to make a reservation is better. Many of the restaurants actually offer Restaurant Week deals for an extra week. This makes it much easier to get yourself a seat at some of the more popular restaurants.

Try something new. Restaurant Week is the perfect time to ditch the old favorite and explore new culinary delights. This year, I plan on going to an Ethiopian and Russian restaurant. I’m familiar with both cuisines, but these restaurants are considered the best in the area.

Check out Student Intern Network’s deals partners during Restaurant Week! Our deals band always allows you to visit restaurants at a cheaper cost. This week is no different. Some of our participating restaurants have Restaurant Week deals of their own:

Floriana of Dupont Circle is an Italian Family Style restaurant that offers 20% off with a SIN band. For Restaurant Week, Floriana offers Dinner only deals for groups. Enjoy!

Nutella Pizza at Barcode

P.J. Clarke’s on K Street offers both lunch and dinner deals during Restaurant Week. Go with a SIN band during the year and enjoy access to ‘Sidecar’ the exclusive private dining area.

–Barcode is offering restaurant week deals for both lunch and dinner. Use your deals band to save 20% on your check!
