Today, Optoro co-founders Tobin Moore and Adam Vitarello were recognized as EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award winners in the Emerging Growth category for the Greater Washington D.C.-area.

Optoro is based in Lanham, MD and specializes in reverse shipping logistics. They develop software that helps retailers and manufacturers sell excess inventory and equipment by routing products to numerous marketplaces.

Moore and Vitarello, the company’s CEO and President respectively, received the award for excellence in innovation, financial performance and personal commitment to their business and community.

“Adam and I are honored to be chosen as EY Entrepreneur Of The Year Award winners for our technology that is helping to address serious business, logistical, and sustainability challenges related to returned and excess inventory,” said Moore in a statement. “We have worked hard to disrupt an outdated retail returns process, to make it more efficient and sustainable and are excited to be recognized.”

This is the latest in a wave of recognition for Optoro, which has recently received awards from CNBC Disruptor, ReCode and Washingtonian.

Moore and Vitarello will now be eligible for EY’s national Entrepreneur of the Year award.
