If you fall in love with an apartment that is out of your price range, go to the first floor. These apartments are usually of the same quality but the price is reduced due to its location. Ask the leasing agent if there is anything available. You will be surprised by the price difference.

There isn’t really a downside to a first floor apartment. Your views might not be great but this is something to look past if it means saving $100 a month on rent. If you aren’t available to see the unit in person, stress that you are looking for a ground floor apartment- not a basement apartment. Some buildings will try to trick you into thinking these are the same.

You can barely see the parked car through the window. This is a dead giveaway that the apartment is on the ground floor but there is a special price!
