Title: Research and Outreach Internship
Hours: 10-20 per week
 
About Elysian Energy:
 
Elysian Energy is the area’s leader in residential energy efficiency in efforts to help homeowners reduce their environmental impact while saving on their energy bills. Interns working more than 15 hours per week will be able to gain field experience with energy auditors and green building certification professionals.

Responsibilities:

– Provide logistical and administrative support for residential and commercial energy services in the Baltimore-DC corridor.
 – Assist in developing educational materials used for professional trainings and local school outreach. This may include classroom materials, educational flyers, blog posts, and such.
 – Perform market research for local continuing education and professional certification needs.
 – Manage data entry processes.

Qualifications:

– Elysian will train all motivated candidates with preference given to those with the following:
 – High school diploma (some college preferred)
 – Strong written and verbal communication skills
 – Demonstrated interest in building energy efficiency and education
 – Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel

– The ideal candidate is energetic, personable and self-motivated with a demonstrated passion for contributing to the sustainability movement through education.
