I recently read a post on Spoon University from a contributor at UMD and felt obligated to share… You can eat healthily at Chipotle. Or you can go another route and get a burrito wrapped in a quesadilla…
While I am a fan of Qdoba queso sauce, I cannot deny the overwhelming love so many share for Chipotle. Although I cannot imagine ordering my meal and avoiding a 5,000 calorie sitting at the fine American establishment, there is, in fact, a way to eat at Chipotle while minding a healthy diet.
It’s easiest to break this process down into 4 simple steps:
1 Stick with a burrito bowl and ditch the tortilla wrap.
2 Just say no… To tofu. Chicken & steak are your best protein options
3 BBFSGC. Obviously that means you stick with brown rice, black beans, fajita goodness, your choice of salsa, guac instead of sour cream and cheese because… Mexican food.
4 NachNo’s. No need for the extra chips and salsa, everything is in your bowl.
