Student Intern Network Launching ‘Summer of Service’ 2013

Coming to DC as a starving intern or summer student shouldn’t stop you from enjoying and exploring the nation’s Capital. If you are going to be in the District this summer, be sure to join Student Intern Network (SIN) for free.

Members can look forward to weekly outings, trips to sporting events & tailgates, exclusive deals and offers at area bars, restaurants and retailers, and great networking throughout the summer months. The weekly newsletter will highlight a new DC neighborhood each week and the inaugural ‘Summer of Service’ will kick-off in June – raising funds, awareness and volunteer support for charities and non-profits working out of Washington, DC.

Last summer SIN ran in beta, hosting weekly [free] outdoor yoga classes, a number of happy hours and nightlife events,  tailgates and outings to DC United matches, and more. SIN Deals allowed affordable access at establishments around the city – making it possible to wine, dine and mingle with friends on a weekly basis without breaking the bank. The ‘Intern Survival Guide’ was utilized to effectively navigate the city, dress appropriately at work, and properly integrate new DC transplants into city life. The feedback from the trial run was fantastic, and the 2013 launch is proving to be highly anticipated.

The 2013 events calendar will be released in the coming weeks. In addition to outings to DC staple events such as Jazz in the Garden and Screen on the Green, SIN will host unique events in each neighborhood highlighted in the weekly newsletter. Area establishments are encouraged to reach out to be a part of the going-on’s. (Email info@studentinternnetwork.com)

SIN Deals Bands provide members with deals, discounts and exclusive access with neighborhood partners throughout DC.
