Boston based AisleBuyer has been slowly building product momentum over the past year to launch with national retailers this summer. Following an announcement in mid-April around their Card Capture technology, today AisleBuyer announced additional features for its mobile commerce app.

Shoppers who download the merchant-specific apps backed by AisleBuyer’s technology (currently only in Magic Beans stores around Boston) can checkout and pay right from their phones while in the store. This latest feature release also enables the shopper to use the app to make ecommerce purchases online for in-home delivery.

By scanning a product barcode using the app, shoppers can read product details and customer reviews and then make a purchase on the spot – either in-store by skipping the line or online by opting for home delivery. They can also browse a retailer’s entire product catalog from within the app, another new feature.

“After eliminating checkout lines with mobile self-checkout, we realized that in-store transactions and e-commerce transactions shouldn’t be two separate things. In a single transaction, customers can now order some products for home delivery while walking out of the store with others,” said Andrew Paradise, CEO of AisleBuyer. “With the addition of multi-channel checkout functionality, retailers and consumers have a true one-stop mobile shopping application at their disposal.”

Enabling the AisleBuyer app on the payments side is its Card Capture technology, a simple and seamless way to input your payment card information into your phone. As opposed to tediously typing in payment card info and numbers, all a user needs to do is take a photo of their card using their phone and let AisleBuyer convert and tokenize this payment information for mobile payments within the app.

The other main feature added with this latest app release includes the ability for shoppers to create wish and gift lists.

If you are a Magic Beans shopper, you can download the app in the Apple App Store or Android Marketplace.
