Brazen's upcoming growth

Arlington-based messaging platform developer Brazen is using some of the millions of dollars it raised in June to fuel an expansion of both its team and its office space. I took a tour to see just how ready the startup is to push past its current boundaries. Check out the slideshow here.

Jay Carney and Amazon take on NYT

Amazon senior VP and former White House press secretary Jay Carney took on the The New York Times over its exposé of  New York Amazon's supposedly horrific corporate culture. Carney called it all nonsense, leading to a back-and-forth with the newspapers executive editor. Check out Chris Bing's coverage of the Carney-age here.

Pay attention to drone regulation

Drones could change everything if Google, Amazon and other tech companies get to implement some of their innovative ideas for drone tech, but but a lot will depend on a task force that the U.S. Department of Transportation is putting together that would create the first drone registration system. This development could very likely be the basis for all future discussions of drone regulation. Coming up with something that will prove resilient in the face of inevitable legal challenges may be daunting, but it's vital that the FAA and DOT get it right.
